Cs-137 (RSL6050/60) - Use for blood irradiation - the most effective and reliable method to prevent Transfer Associated Graft Versus Host Disease (TA-GVHD), a condition where T-lymphocytes in the transfused blood proliferate in the patient and initiate an immune system reaction in the patient. Most at risk are immunodeficient or immunocompromised patients. I-125 - Used in the manufacture of Brachytherapy Seeds for the treatment of Prostate Cancer. REVISS I-125 is produced in a gas loop cycle and has exceptionally low I-126 content for best clinical outcome. Gadolinium-153 - Used in bone densitometry. The gadolinium source comprises a compressed pellet of gadolinium oxide, argon-arc welded in a titanium alloy capsule. Co-57 in Rhodium Matrix - Mössbauer spectroscopy is used primarily to study the electron structure of materials.
